June's Saturday at the Rock focuses on reptiles

Spend Saturday, June 16, at Rock Eagle 4-H Center in Eatonton, Ga., and get up close and personal with the center’s reptile and amphibian collection.

The program will focus especially on creatures native to Georgia. Participants will learn about, touch and even hold snakes, turtles and more. The program promises to be fun and fascinating for people of all ages.

This session costs $5 per person and will run from 9:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. Following the program, Rock Eagle’s Natural History Museum will be open to participants.

For more information or to register, contact Matt Hammons at (706) 484-2862 or mhammons@uga.edu.

Saturday at the Rock programs are held the third Saturday of each month, excluding December. View a complete list of Saturday at the Rock sessions at www.rockeagle4h.org/ee/community/SaturdayattheRock.html.
