Gardeners can learn from folks who grow Vidalia onions hundeds of acres at a time. |
The Vidalia onion harvest has hit full swing in Georgia, and the gardeners can learn from the farmers who grow the crop on hundreds of acres at a time.
On the next "Gardening in Georgia" May 11 and 13, host Walter Reeves will show viewers how they can grow these special sweet onions.
Reeves will talk about growing sweet carrots in your garden, too. Back indoors, he'll examine struggling houseplants and tell how to rescue them.
Don't miss "Gardening in Georgia" on Thursdays at 7:30 p.m. or on Saturdays at 10 a.m. on Georgia Public Television. The show is designed especially for Georgia gardeners.
"Gardening in Georgia" is produced by the University of Georgia College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences and GPTV.
