Rock Eagle 4-H Center hosts dive-in movie to celebrate the end of the summer

By Merritt Melancon

Before your family goes back to the hustle and bustle of a busy school year, Rock Eagle 4-H Center invites you to make a splash at its Back to School Bash. Come out for fun, games and a dive-in movie.

Take an exciting trip down the waterslide, catch some evening rays on the pool deck or float with friends! The pool will open at 6:30 p.m. When the sun starts to set, our dive-in movie will begin. Bring chairs, towels or a float to watch Disney’s "Zootopia" poolside. We will be showing this family flick on a huge, outdoor movie screen.

Summer isn’t over yet at Rock Eagle, so go ahead and mark your calendars for August 6. The Back to School Bash will be a great opportunity to relax and enjoy family time before going back to school. We will have popcorn, Icees and enough candy to satisfy any sweet tooth. Advanced registration is encouraged. Pre-registered families will get free popcorn to enjoy during the movie.

Appropriate for all ages, cost is $5 per person. This program runs from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. The movie will begin around sunset. Lifeguards will be on duty.
