Rising high school juniors and seniors, who happen to also be bird-lovers, can get a personal introduction to the world of avian science through a three-day camp at the University of Georgia in Athens, Ga.
Set for June 23-25, the camp will introduce students to bird reproduction, bird watching and avian surgery.
The event will begin Wednesday at 9 a.m. and conclude Friday at 6:30 p.m. with a tour of the UGA Poultry Research Center. Avian Adventures students will stay overnight in UGA dormitories.
The cost of the camp is $50 and the registration deadline is May 15. For more information, see the Web site www.caes.uga.edu/departments/poultry/schprogram or contact Evonne Jones at (706) 542-9153.
