Georgia Ag Hall of Fame nominees sought

Each year, the University of Georgia pays tribute to outstanding Georgia agricultural leaders by inducting them into the Georgia Agricultural Hall of Fame.

The UGA College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences Alumni Association is currently seeking nominations for the honor.

The program is designed to recognize individuals who have made significant achievements in agriculture, agribusiness industries or the service institutions. Nominees may be retired or active, man or woman, living or deceased.

In addition, the association recognizes CAES alumni who have excelled in their chosen fields or in serving their communities. Nominees for the CAES Alumni Association Young Alumni Achievement Award must be 35 years old or younger. Nominees for the CAES Alumni Award of Excellence must be 35 years or older.

To nominate someone, download a nomination form at www.caes.uga.edu/alumni or call (706) 542-3390 to have a form mailed to you.

Nominations must be postmarked by March 15. Inductees will be announced Sept. 17 at the annual alumni banquet held in Athens.
