University of Georgia Cooperative Extension and the UGA Center for Urban Agriculture will host two hands-on landscape design workshops for green industry professionals on Feb. 18-19 in Griffin, Ga.
The Feb. 18 workshop will cover the fundamentals of landscape design graphics. It is intended for both newcomers to design as well as experienced professionals who want to enhance skills. On Feb. 19, the workshop will focus on creating eco-friendly landscapes for commercial and residential properties.
Participants may choose to attend one day or both days. A $250 fee for each workshop includes all drafting supplies, handouts and refreshments. Each workshop is limited to 40 people.
Instructors are Richard Ludwig, former director of environmental horticulture and landscape design instructor at Gwinnett Technical College in Lawrenceville, and Bill Slack, registered landscape architect and former Extension landscape design specialist at UGA.
