Mountain expo features spring gardens, art

As spring comes to a full bloom in the mountains of north Georgia, one town will be celebrating with its annual Spring Garden Expo and Mountain Flower Art Festival.

The event will be held from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. May 20-21 at Hancock Park in Dahlonega, Ga., and is presented by the Georgia Mountains Master Gardeners.

The expo and festival will include:

• Art vendors at Town Square.

• A wildflower walk throughout Dahlonega.

• A plant sale at Hancock Park.

• Children’s activities, which include planting seeds.

• A problem plants program.

• A trough gardens hands-on demonstration.

• A growing native plants program.

All programs will be at Hancock Park under the program tent and are subject to change. Admission is free.
