Whether your cattle stock consists of hundreds or just a few, you're sure to benefit from the University of Georgia's annual Mountain Beef Cattle Field Day April 19.The field day will start at 9 a.m. and end at 3 p.m. at the Georgia Mountain Research and Education Center in Blairsville, Ga. Participants will learn the most up-to-date, research-based information from UGA, Clemson and North Carolina State scientists.
This year's topics include:
- How to market hay with the help of relative forage quality.
- A producer's perspective on harvesting grass.
- Parasites of cattle.
- Herbicides to use for pastures and fence rows.
