Georgia Agriculture Hall of Fame nominees sought

Being named to a hall of fame is always a prestigious honor. Georgia's Agricultural Hall of Fame honors agriculture commissioners, research scientists, agribusiness leaders and a host of other agriculture supporters.

If you know someone worthy of being inducted into the Georgia Agricultural Hall of Fame, now is the time to make your nomination for the 2004 inductees. Each year the University of Georgia College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences Alumni Association recognizes agricultural leaders in Georgia by selecting members of the hall of fame.

Honors Georgia ag leaders

"The Georgia Agricultural Hall of Fame pays tribute to agricultural leaders who have made extraordinary contributions to agriculture and agribusiness industries in Georgia," said Juli Fields of the UGA CAES Alumni Association. "The program is designed to give appropriate recognition to those who have made significant achievements in agriculture, agribusiness industries, and the service institutions."

If you know an individual deserving recognition for his or her outstanding contributions to agriculture, the CAES Alumni Association invites you to make a nomination. Award of Excellence an honor, too

In addition to the hall of fame, the CAES Alumni Association's Award of Excellence recognizes an extraordinary alumni of the UGA CAES who has excelled in their field and/or in service to their community. Up to four individuals are presented with an Award of Excellence each year.

"This award allows the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences and the CAES Alumni Association the opportunity to showcase the varied and tremendous achievements of alumni throughout Georgia and the nation," said Fields.
