Now in its 91st year, PGMS caters to the needs of green industry professionals, including grounds managers, turf specialists, horticulturists, landscape contractors, irrigation specialists and chemical applicators.
Its goal is to help develop management skills and enhance professionalism. Among its benefits are an annual conference and trade show, newsletter, directory, certification programs, free manuals and many discounts.
The society also offers a discounted student membership. It sponsors annual scholarships, too, for high school and college students. The local branch plans to offer seminars, field trips and hands-on workshops.
