A field day at the Vidalia Onion and Vegetable Research Center near Reidsville, Ga., May 29 will show growers and others the fruit and vegetable research going on this summer.The two-hour event will begin with a visit to the research plots at 6 p.m. It will end with a sponsored supper. The summer plots have studies of blackberries, strawberries, watermelons, cantaloupes, sweet corn and tomatoes.
