Grow-and-Mow Expo Jan. 15-17

Whether you're a landscape professional or just out to win the lawn-of-the-month award, you'll find workshops to meet your needs at the "Grow and Mow Expo" Jan. 15-17 in College Park, Ga.

The three-day expo will be at the Georgia International Convention Center. It will offer workshops and seminars designed to provide the latest information on water management, landscaping, turf management, nursery practices and marketing.

University of Georgia researchers and Georgia green industry professionals will provide the most recent information on new turfs, advanced weed management and landscaping and building around trees. They'll also offer sessions on beginning and advanced turf management, irrigation and water management.

Learn More About Turf

The expo is designed for anyone who wants to know more about managing turf, from golf course superintendents to homeowners. Visitors can learn through workshops, educational sessions and symposiums.

It starts officially on Monday, Jan. 14, at 1 p.m. with two professional exams: the Georgia Green Industry Association certified plant professional exam and the Georgia certified landscape professional exam.

The first workshops will begin Jan. 15 at 8 a.m. They will end at 4 p.m. Educational sessions on Jan. 16 will run from 8 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. On Thursday, symposiums and workshops will run from 8 a.m. until 6 p.m.

Registration Varies

You may attend the whole three days of the expo or just the days you prefer. For example, you can sign up for Tuesday all day, Tuesday morning only or Tuesday afternoon only. The registration fee will be adjusted accordingly.

Fees range from $40 to $125 for workshops and include instruction, lunch, notebook and trade show.
