To help sustain that kind of effort, the ninth annual Georgia Cotton Production Workshop will offer a wealth of information for cotton growers, dealers and other agribusinesses Dec. 11-12 in Tifton, Ga.
Each morning will begin with 90-minute workshops. Topics will include:
- Cotton weeds, insects, physiology, markets and new varieties.
- Fertilizer and soil management.
- A cotton industry update.
- New cotton developments.
- The farm bill.
- Water issues.
- Many other topics.
The workshop will begin at 8 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 11, at the Tifton Rural Development Center. It will end at 2:45 p.m. Wednesday. A $30 fee ($20 before Nov. 30) covers instruction, materials and refreshment breaks.
