Attention all turfgrass enthusiasts!
Mark your calendars for Tuesday, April 24, 2012 and make plans to attend the 66th Annual Southeastern Turfgrass Conference held at the University of Georgia Tifton Campus Conference Center.
This year’s event will cover the latest research on warm-season turfgrasses and the newest developments in turf cultivars and management.
Academic and industry professionals from Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College, the Atlanta Country Club, Clemson University, University of Florida, University of Georgia, North Carolina State University, Stone Mountain Golf Club, University of Tennessee, Texas Tech University and Turf-Tec will be presenting at the conference.
They will cover topics including: Bermuda grass, Zoysia grass and centipede grass breeding; disease and weed management; phone- and internet-based turf management tools; Zoysia grass greens management; alternative organic fertilizers; the effect of the historic 2011 drought in Texas; athletic-field safety; environmental stewardship; turf colorants; athletic field construction and management; and smart irrigation controllers.

Continuing education credits will be available for ornatmental and turf pesticide certification, the Golf Course Superintendents of America certification and for Certified Crop Advisors.
