"Gardening in Georgia" airs on Georgia Public Broadcasting television stations statewide each Thursday at 7 p.m. and Saturday at 12:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.
Show host Walter Reeves and University of Georgia horticulture professor David Berle take a holly down to size. The duo will show how to prune overgrown woody ornamentals to control size.
Reeves will help you wage a war on weeds, too. He'll show many weed-killing options, including organic choices, dandelion diggers and even a flaming weed killer.
Show guest Tara Dillard will show how to add beauty to the garden with interesting objects that aren't plants.
"Gardening in Georgia" is coproduced by GPB and the UGA College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences. Each show is geared to Georgia soils, climate and growing conditions.
The 2007 season is made possible through an underwriting gift from McCorkle Nurseries and support from the Metro Atlanta Landscape and Turf Association. For more on "Gardening in Georgia," visit www.gardeningingeorgia.com.
