Military Child Weekend Camp set at Fortson 4-H Center

Georgia 4-H and the Georgia National Guard will offer the annual Month of the Military Child Weekend Camp, Friday, April 24 to Sunday, April 26 at Fortson 4-H Center near Hampton, Georgia.

The camp is open to military-dependent youth ages 12-15 years and costs $15 per child. Located near the Atlanta Motor Speedway, Fortson 4-H Center has 77 acres of forest, fields, ponds and wetlands.

Registration for the weekend camp will close on Wednesday, April 15. For more information and to register a military youth, go to georgia4h.org/military/.

Complete the camp forms and mail them to Brian Stone, University of Georgia, 329 Hoke Smith Annex, Athens, GA 30602; fax them to (706) 542-4373; or scan and e-mail them to stonebe@uga.edu. Payment can be brought to camp on April 24.

Campers’ parents will receive detailed information by mid-April on arrival instructions and a list of what their child should bring to the weekend camp event.
